The Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) says it is ramping up efforts to prosecute motorists who violate the Road Traffic Act.
Head of PSTEB, Assistant Commissioner of Police Gary McKenzie made the statement as he noted that a number of motorists have failed to attend court and pay ticket fines.
Yesterday, the police released the names of 79 persons who have outstanding warrants for breaches of the Road Traffic Act.
ACP McKenzie called on those listed to turn themselves in immediately.
