The National Housing Trust (NHT) will begin reserving up to 10% of its housing solutions for contributors under age 35.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the announcement yesterday during his contribution to the budget debate.
He noted that based on the NHT’s selection system, older contributors are mainly selected for units.
To address this gap, Mr. Holness said over the next five years, more than 4,000 housing solutions will go to persons in the under 35 years category.
