Yesterday Dahlia  Palmer  secured  a  bronze  medal  yesterday  in  cycling  when  she  took  third  place  in  the women’s  Keirin  event . 

This when she stopped the clock at 0.286  seconds  behind gold medal  winner Martha Bayona Pineda of Colombia.

Bayona completed the six laps at the Parque Peñalolén velodrome with a time of 10.948 seconds .

Jamaica shares the 22nd spot with three other Caribbean countries: Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda and Bahamas along with Central American country El-Salvador.
