2 minors and 6 women among 13 people taken into custody following Portland ganja bust
Thirteen people, including six women and two minors were taken into custody, last evening (January 7), in relation to the seizure of approximately 600 pounds of compressed ganja on Long Road in Manchioneal Portland.
Reports are that about 9:00 p.m., lawmen were in the area when they signalled the driver of an Isuzu motor truck with twelve passengers aboard to stop.
He complied and during a search of the vehicle, 600 pounds of compressed ganja was reportedly found.
The illicit drug has an estimated street value of 3.3 million dollars.
The driver and the 12 passengers were taken into custody; however, their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
