Two 16-year-olds – a boy and a girl – were shot and killed in separate incidents between last evening and early this morning.

They are Anita Dennis of Grant Bush, Little London in Westmoreland and Damali McPherson of Kingston 6.

Dennis was reportedly killed at her home around 2:15 AM.

Police reported that Dennis was on the verandah of her home with another person, when an armed man approached the house and opened gunfire hitting them.

Both persons were taken to hospital, where Dennis died.

Hours earlier, at around 9:40 last evening, McPherson was walking along Golding Avenue in Kingston, when a Toyota Axio motor car approached.

Armed men aboard the vehicle opened gunfire at the teen.

McPherson died while undergoing treatment at hospital.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force is probing both killings.
