National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang says the Jamaica Constabulary Force is not a hit squad.

His statement comes in light of several police fatal shootings.

The most recent deaths took place yesterday, where four men were shot in two separate incidents.

Dr. Chang said the police have a structure to identify criminals and build a file around them.

He said when that file is built, the police embark on an operation to apprehend those individuals.

He explained that those who choose to attack the police will face the repercussions.

He noted that the Constabulary, under the leadership of Dr. Kevin Blake has utilized its resources and identified the island’s criminals.

He was speaking at the handing over ceremony for 121 pick-ups, 55 SUVs, 8 buses and 90 motorcycles to the Constabulary yesterday.
