PIOJ monitoring US policy changes impacting trade, immigration and foreign aid in Jamaica
The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) is closely monitoring recent policy changes effected by the Trump administration in the United States of America.
It is expected that the policy changes will impact trade, immigration and foreign aid in Jamaica.
PIOJ Director General Dr. Wayne Henry noted that the imposition of tariffs could adversely affect inflation and exports.
He also acknowledged concern about the potential impact of new policies on remittances.
He was speaking at a press conference yesterday.
