Derrick Morgan And Daughter Queen Ifricka In Mourning

The mother of veteran entertainer Derrick Morgan and grandmother to Queen Ifrica will be laid to rest on the weekend.

Mable Robinson, who would have celebrated her 93rd birthday today (15/01/13), died of Cancer on December 26, 2012.

Derrick Morgan tells Music News that his mom died peacefully at her home in Mocho, Clarendon.

Derrick Morgan’s mom and Queen Ifrica’s grandmother Mable will be laid to rest on January 19 in the parish.

Nesbeth's Mother Dead

Nesbeth has lost his mom to cancer.

Ms. Gloria Wright died at the Kingston public hospital on Friday. A saddened Nesbeth speaks with Music News.

Nesbeth’s mom was 58. A Wake is being planned for Saturday at the family home in Arnette Gardens while the funeral date is still pending.

Macka Diamond's Brother Dies On Her Birthday

Macka Diamond is in mourning following the death of her little brother.

Macka says her 23 year old brother, Charles Monroe died on her birthday, Saturday, January 12 from Leukemia.

The funeral service is set for January 27.

New Development Pushes Buju Banton To Pause Studies

Incarcerated reggae entertainer Buju Banton, has paused his studies due to a new development in his case.

Buju, who was pursuing a Master’s Degree in Political Science while serving his sentence in Miami, have since being relocated to the Pinellas County Jail in Tampa while awaiting a judge ruling on the new development.

Last week Federal Judge James Moody ordered a full investigation into the alleged misconduct of a juror. US Marshals have since confiscated the juror computers as part of their investigation.

Singer Tanya Stephens is making an appeal for blood donation for music video director Winston Tyson Mayhew.

“Tyson” who is said to have contracted a bad case of malaria during a recent visit to Africa is reportedly in stable condition at the St. Ann’s Bay hospital.

Tayna Stephens tells Music News that Tyson is in need of blood and is urging persons to donate at any blood collection center across the island.
