Diamond League Victory for Jordan Scott in Norway
World Championships finalist Jordan Scott produced a podium topping effort at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday as the 6th stop of the Diamond league season.
This with victory in the Men’s triple jump event , where he had a best mark of of 17.66 metres.
National record holder Jaydon Hibbert was 5th in the event at 17.17 metres.
Ruschell clayton was also on the podium in the iconic Bislett Stadium, she placed second in the women’s 400 metres hurdles where she was timed at 53.50 seconds.
Meanwhile, in the women’s triple jump Ackelia Smith had to settle for 4th place with a season best effort of 14.50 metres and national record holder Daniel Thomas-Dodd was 6th in the women’s shot put event with an effort measuring 18.83 metres.
National record holder, Nickesia Pryce was only good enough for 5th in the women’s 400 metres where she was timed at 50.30 seconds.
In the meantime Letsile Tebogo of Botswana won the men’s 200 metres clocking a season best 19.84 seconds, while teenage sensation Gout Gout of Australia had to settle for 6th place in 20.60 seconds on his Diamond league debut
Another Caribbean athlete Julien Alfred of St Lucia won the womens 100 metres in 10.76 seconds.
