The course, which is the first of its kind in the region, will end on December 16.

 

It will facilitate the certification of eight new polygraph examiners, from both local and regional law-enforcement agencies.

 

Speaking at yesterday’s launch, National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang, noted that the certification of the polygraph examiners, will help the government, to tackle corruption within ministries, agencies and law-enforcement bodies.

 

 

MOCA’s polygraph and vetting unit, has been a functional part of the agency, since its establishment in 2014, and has conducted over 11,000 screenings.

 

The unit conducts vetting services, for potential recruits for the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency, Jamaica Customs Agency, as well as several ministries and government agencies.
