Westmoreland Police urge wanted persons to surrender
As the Westmoreland Police continue targeted operations in search of alleged gangsters, persons who have been listed as wanted are being urged to surrender.
The operations started on Friday in the Barrack Road area of Savannah-la-Mar and will be extended to other areas of the parish in coming days.
Head of the Division, Senior Superintendent Wayne Josephs said intra-gang conflict has been fueling the recent spike in crime and violence.
SSP Josephs said several persons have already been taken into custody.
