Vector control workers deployed islandwide following passage of Hurricane Melissa
Vector control workers are making checks for pests, such as mosquitoes and rodents as it’s anticipated that there will be an increase in vector-borne diseases, due to the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton said hundreds of vector control workers have been deployed island-wide.
He said public health inspectors are also mobilised to conduct necessary checks in a bid to prevent food-related diseases.
