WPM Waste Management Limited says unrest in sections of the retirement community in St. James has led to delays in garbage collection.

The agency says its operation has been impacted significantly, as the situation has restricted access to the disposal site.

In the meantime, WPM is seeking the public’s patience and cooperation and is encouraging persons to contain-erize their solid waste properly. 

WPM provides garbage collection services in St. James, Trelawny, Hanover and Westmoreland.

It says its team is monitoring the situation closely and is in constant communication with the police.
