Two men killed in crash in St. Elizabeth, last evening
Two men were killed in a motor vehicle collision along the Ridge Pen main road in St. Elizabeth, last evening.
Dead are 61-year-old farmer Winston Sinclair of Little Park, Treasure Beach, and Vernon Forbes of Mountain Side, both in St. Elizabeth.
Police reports are that at about 9:35 p.m Sinclair was driving a motorcycle along the roadway with Forbes as a pillion rider.
Upon reaching a section of the roadway, the driver of a Toyota Axio motorcar reportedly failed to negotiate a corner and collided with the motorcycle.
All three persons were taken to hospital where Sinclair and Forbes were pronounced dead and the driver of the motor car was treated.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones is reminding motorists to be cautious when using the nation’s roadways.
