Two Clarendon men held with counterfeit notes in Portland
Two Clarendon men are facing fraud charges after being held by lawmen during an operation in Norwich, Portland, on Thursday.
They are Nathaniel Barnes and Sidney Bartley, both of Chapelton in Clarendon.
Reports are that at about 11:45 PM, police responded to reports of strange men being in the Norwich area.
During the operation, the men were held and found in possession of counterfeit US and Jamaican dollar notes.
They reportedly had counterfeit notes amounting to $2000 US and over $70,000 Jamaican.
The men were also in possession of a white Honda stream, which was seized by the police.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
