Former mount pleasant striker Trivante Stewart came off the bench to make his Italian top flight debut earlier today but was unable to prevent his team Sportiva Salernitana from suffering a 4-nil loss to former champions inter Milan.

Stewart who wore the number 19….saw 11 minutes of action after coming as a 79th minute substitute and with the home down by 2 goals.

The points for inter were then secured by Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez who hit the back of the net in the 85th and 89th minutes to wrap up a four-goal outing.

Inter now improve to 18 points to lead the Serie a standings on goal difference above city rivals Ac Milan who beat Lazio 2-nil.

Defending champions Napoli are 4 points behind in 3rd after running out 4-nil winners over Lecce.

Salernitana, remain in 19th place on 3 points…….they return to action with a trip to Monza on October 8.
