TPDco says licenced rafters on White River in St Ann operating organized
The Tourism Product Development Company Limited, TPDco, says licenced raft operators are functioning in a controlled and organized way at White River, in St. Ann.
Last month, TPDco took action to regularize the operations of illegal rafters on the river.
Several rafts were destroyed.
In an update on Tuesday, TPDco said it continues to monitor the situation, to ensure there is order in the space and patrons are able to enjoy the facility without chaos and misconduct.
It noted that efforts at integrating other operators who were removed from the area are in full swing, with the first re-engagement session planned for this week.
TPDco’s executive director, Wade Mars is also scheduled to tour the area, and meet with stakeholders.
