Todss welcomes changes to child restraint regulation under Road Traffic Act
The Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, Todss, has welcomed the changes suggested, for the Road Traffic Act, relating to child restraint systems, in public passenger vehicles.
On Tuesday, Transport Minister Audley shaw outlined some proposed changes to the requirement, which will be deliberated on further, at the national road safety council’s meeting tomorrow.
Members of the public are being urged to make comments and recommendations on the suggested changes, to the NRSC, so that the final agreed amendments, can be implemented later this week.
Todss President Egeton Newman said Todss will be contributing to the NRSC discussions, on Thursday.
He stated that the protest by other taxi groupings was unnecessary.
