Three guns seized and two men arrested in C-TOC operations in Clarendon

Two men were arrested and three guns seized during an operation in Oliver Gardens, May Pen, Clarendon, this morning.

The Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) says it successfully conducted raids at two locations.

Details of the special operation are still emerging.

The police say early reports indicate that the operation is part of a targeted effort to clamp down on illegal firearms and criminal activities in the area.

The identities of the individuals in custody have not yet been released, and the specific types of firearms recovered are still being ascertained.

The police’s Corporate Communications Unit says this operation is a part of the broader strategy of the Jamaica Constabulary Force to address and reduce crime across the nation.

Authorities earlier urged the public to avoid the area as the operation was underway.
