Three people were arrested in relation to the seizure of a sub-machine gun, dozens of rounds of ammunition and other paraphernalia in Hurlock, St. James on Monday.

Their identities have not yet been released.

Acting commanding officer for St James, Superintendent Eron Samuels noted that the seizure was made during an operation around 3: 20 p.m. by members of the security forces.

He urged residents of the parish who have information on crimes and wanted men to tell the police what they know.
