Sean Paul’s wife, Jodi Henriques, has dismissed claims made by Nyla of Brick & Lace, who raised questions about the similarities between Will Smith and Sean Paul’s new song “Light Em Up” and her 2015 hit “Light It Up” with Major Lazer.
On Saturday night (June 8), Nyla posted a video on social media showcasing what she believes are similarities between the two songs.
Sean Paul’s wife responded in the comments, stating, “Light it up with the same light that belong to @duttypaul from the beginning of time??? KMT mind you reach for something you can’t handle.”
The song in question is feature on the movie soundtrack for the recently released film Bad Boys: Ride or Die starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
