Sophia Laing, wife of Lieutenant Stitchie, says the ailing entertainer continues to improve daily and is responding well to treatment.

In a Music News follow up, she said Stitchie, who is now in a care-facility continues to improve daily.

In September, news surfaced that Lieutenant Stitchie had suffered a brain haemorrhage. A GoFundMe campaign was subsequently launched to raise funds for the ailing DJ.

Since then, fellow entertainers, Bounty Killer and Shaggy, through the Bounty Killer Foundation, teamed up to donate ten thousand USD towards his medical expenses.

More recently, the fundraising effort to assist the ailing dancehall veteran received additional boosts with donations amounting to $750,000 from Sterling Gospel Music Awards and members of the Jamaica Gospel Music Industry.

Entertainer Richie Stephens also announced a benefit concert dubbed Richie for Stitchie, which is slated for November 29, in Chicago which will see proceeds going towards Stitchie’s rehabilitative care.
