JCDC set to host nine-night for legendary drummer Sly Dunbar later tonight

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) is set to honour the legendary drummer Sly Dunbar with a special nine-night celebration at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston tonight.

The event, scheduled to run from 6 to 11pm, promises to be an unforgettable tribute to the iconic musician and will feature a lineup of talented artistes and performances that showcase Dunbar’s remarkable contribution to the industry.

One half of the iconic duo Sly and Robbie and co-founder of the revolutionary Taxi Records Label, Sly Dunbar transitioned on Monday January 26, 2026, after a lengthy illness.
