Reggae singer Sevana will know her fate this Thursday after she pleaded guilty to the charge of death by dangerous driving in the Westmoreland Parish Court last month (Oct 31, 2022).
The entertainer will be sentenced on November 17, and could face up to five years in prison.
A member of Sevana’s team tells Music News “No comment” and indicated that we should “call back next week when everything is over”, and they are “able to see where things stand.”
In May 2021, just one week after the singer received her driver’s license on May 17, Sevana was involved in a collision that cost a female driver her life.
According to police reports, she was travelling along the Scotts Cove main road in Whitehouse, Westmoreland, when the Honda City motor car she was driving collided with a Honda Fit going in the opposite direction.
The driver of the other vehicle, Ordia Cordiel, sustained severe injuries and died on May 30.
