Grammy winner, Koffee is now fine, and in the United States following an incident on an American airline flight on Thursday (March 16).
The Toast hitmaker was yesterday reportedly involved in a tense encounter with a flight attendant which led to her being questioned by US Immigration Officials. She was on an American airline flight headed to the US when the incident happened.
When contacted on reports that the Jamaican Government had to intervene to secure her release, Entertainment Minister Olivia “Babsy” Grange would only confirm to Music News that she had made contact with Koffee’s mom and Koffee is ok and in the US.
Later today (March 17), Koffee is slated to hit the stage at South by Southwest for Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase, a four-night, genre-hopping celebration of artists defining the sound of tomorrow. Koffee, the only Jamaican on the bill, will share the stage with the likes of Chloe Bailey, and Coco Jones in Austin, Texas.
