Grammy Award-winning dancehall artiste, Sean Paul, will receive the Entertainer’s Key to New York City.
The Dutty Rock Deejay will accept the honour during a Rise Up concert on Saturday, August 24 at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York presented by New York Mayor Eric Adams for his musical contributions to the city.
In a release Sean Paul was quoted as saying the honour will be another great moment to add to his memory bank and that he feels honoured to be doing what he loves.
The Grammy-winning entertainer, who has remained relevant in the music industry is renowned for his Platinum-earning singles Get Busy, Temperature, and Gimme the Light.
Recently, Sean Paul was recognized as one of two recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jamaica Poetry Festival. He was also highlighted as one of the industry players, who supported fellow entertainer Spice along her 25-year journey.
Other awardees for the Rise Up New York Concert Series include Pattie Labelle, Keith Sweat and Fat Joe.
