J Capri remembered 9 years after her death

Nine years to the date of her passing, dancehall artiste, Jordan Phillips more popularity known as J Capri is still remembered by fans and members of music fraternity.

In a social media comment Queen of the Dancehall, Spice shared a memory of the fallen dancehall star, writing, “I love you so much J, sleep well my sister. I still remember your laugh to this day. I couldn’t sleep on our flight to Europe. The most beautiful soul.”

Meanwhile, fans of the late singjay also shared memories. One fan wrote that J Capri would forever be her favourite, sharing that the artiste’s songs were still on her playlist. Another shared that J Capri would have been so big in the industry if she was here with us. While another fan commented that J Capri was the Jamaican Aaliyah, adding that her death inspired the transformation of Lady Saw to Marion Hall.

Twenty-three-year-old J Capri, died on December 4, 2015 at the University Hospital of the West Indies after being hospitalized for more than a week following a motor vehicle crash on November 23.

J Capri was known for her 2013 breakthrough collaboration Wine and Kotch with Charly Black, Mamacita, another collaboration with Vybz Kartel and Pull up to My Bumper with Konshens.
