Chaos broke out at a meeting in St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann last evening when residents seemingly objected to a proposed housing development by Chinese investors. 

The consultation on the new Mammee Bay development project was hosted by representatives from Environment Solutions Limited and the China Harbour Engineering Company.

The residents expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the development is being done by the Chinese.

They also expressed concern about the impact of the development on the environment and complained about not being involved in the decision-making process.

During the meeting, there were heated exchanges between the residents and the developers, about the project’s impact on water.
