Several schools yet to receive grants due in December from Gov’t for school operations; PATH lunches impacted
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) says several school administrations have not received grants due in December from the Government for school operations.
JTA President, La Sonja Harrison explains that administrations were expected to receive the funds from the Education Ministry to facilitate day-to-day operations for this school term.
She laments, however, that the date has passed, with several administrations still waiting to receive the funds.
She says lunches being prepared under the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH) are among the operations impacted.
