The security guard who was shot dead by gunmen during a multi-million-dollar robbery, at the Jamaica National Bank in Portmore Pines, St. Catherine, yesterday, has been identified.

He is 53-year-old Lawrence McKenzie of Pegasus Close in Gregory Park, St. Catherine.

Mckenzie was an employee of Beryllium Limited.

Two other security guards were wounded in the attack.

In a statement yesterday, President of Beryllium Limited, Andre McLean said it is a sad time for the company.

Mr. Mclean said the company is cooperating with the police in their investigations.
