Security forces give all clear for schools in Grange Hill, Westmoreland to resume normal classes

Schools in Grange Hill, Westmoreland are expected to resume normal classes tomorrow.

This follows the intervention of the police and military, today.

A recent flare-up in gang violence forced educational institutions to close their doors early, yesterday.

Head of police area one Assistant Commissioner Clifford Chambers said increased police presence in the community is aimed at fostering a safe and secure environment. 

ACP Chambers also met with the principals of the Grange Hill Primary and Grange Hill High schools. 

Meanwhile, Principal of Grange Hill High school Trevine Donaldson Lawrence expressed confidence in the measures taken by the police.
