Search called off for missing passenger in Robin’s Bay incident due to rough seas
Rough seas resulted in the halting of the search for an individual who went missing at sea, after a boat carrying a group of beach-goers capsized along the coast of Robin’s Bay in St. Mary yesterday.
Member of Parliament for St. Mary Central Dr Morais Guy said the group was visiting the area from Kingston.
A number of individuals were rescued and are accounted for, however, he said one person is still yet to be found.
Dr Guy said members of the Jamaica Defense Force and the Marine Police initiated a search yesterday, but this was called off due to rough seas.
The search was expected to resume today, but conditions did not improve.
