Scores of people pay tribute to murdered mother and daughter, Toshyna Patterson and Sarayah Paulwell

Scores of persons gathered at the Jamaica Restoration Breakthrough PHD Ministries in Portmore, St. Catherine, this afternoon to celebrate the lives of Toshyna Patterson and her 10 month-old daughter Sarayah Paulwell.

27 year old Patterson and Sarayah, who is also the daughter of Member of Parliament Phillip Paulwell, were abducted outside their St. Andrew home on September 9, then taken to a section of East Kingston, where they were killed and their bodies burnt.

During today’s Thanksgiving Service several attendees gave tributes, which brought many, including men, to tears.

One of the officiating ministers, Pastor Oral Allen prayed for the relatives of Toshyna and baby Sarayah.

Four people have been charged in relation to the deaths of the mother and daughter.

They include, 34-year-old US-Navy Officer Leoda Bradshaw, who also has a child with Mr. Paulwell.

Bradshaw and her cousin Roland Balfour are to return to the Home Circuit Court, on March 6, next year.

Two other men, Roshane Miller and Richard Brown, who were charged in connection with the killings, pleaded guilty and are serving prison terms.
