Sasher-Gaye Henry gets Jamaica’s National Senior Netball coaching job

Former Sunshine girl Sasher-Gaye Henry has been confirmed as the new head coach of Jamaica’s National Senior Netball team.

The post became vacant after Connie Francis decided not to renew her contract with the organization following Jamaica’s bronze medal finish at the Netball World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa in August of 2023.

44 year old henry along with former sunshine girls assistant coach Annett Daley were shortlisted for the position and she says she was grateful to be selected

Henry who will have Shawn Murdock as her assistant, is no stranger to the national coaching set-up as she was co-coach, alongside Marvette Anderson, as they led the Sunshine girls to a bronze medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

she hopes that she will be able to have the best team at all times.

Henry as a player , played a vital role in securing a bronze medal for the Sunshine Girls at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, during her playing career.
