Relatives of slain PNP Councillor Ainsley Parkins vow to get justice

The relatives of the late People’s National Party (PNP) Councillor, Ainsley “Tyson” Parkins have pledged to continue their quest to seek justice for him.

Councillor Parkins, who was gunned down on July 20, was laid to rest yesterday (October 1).

He was killed in the Southborough Division, which he served for many years.

Family members who were visibly grief-stricken at the funeral service, noted that it was unfortunate that Parkins, who tried immensely to improve the lives of his constituents, was taken away in such a tragic manner.

His aunt says Parkins’ murder will not be viewed as a nine-day wonder.

Other family members, in their tribute, blamed the police and politicians for not doing enough to get justice.

In response, PNP Chairman of East Central St Catherine, Raymond Pryce clarified the party’s view on Mr. Parkins.
