Protesters block Ramble roadway in Hanover due to poor road conditions
Protesters blocked the Ramble roadway in Hanover on Monday morning as they called for the road to be fixed.
The residents downed trees and used debris to block the roadway from about 4 a.m.
One motorist who said that he was prevented from attending work, told Irie Fm news that the condition of the road is very bad.
He said motorists have been suffering for far too long due to the poor state of the road.
He called on the authorities to undertake repairs adding that even patching of the roadway would assist motorists.
Meantime, People’s National Party chairman for Eastern Hanover Craig Oates called on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to remedy the situation.
Irie Fm news understands that the Knockalva Technical High School was impacted by the protest.
