Escapee accused of killing 9yo Talia Thompson returned to police by female licensed firearm holder
The Jamaica Constabulary Force has confirmed that Troy Ellis who escaped police custody at the St Ann’s Bay Hospital on Saturday is now back in custody.
He was handed over to the Discovery Bay Police in St. Ann at approximately 10:35 p.m. yesterday (October 1) by a female citizen.
Police say the woman was driving along the Discovery Bay main road when she identified a man matching the description released by the police.
The woman, who is a licensed firearm holder, apprehended him and handed him over to the police.
The investigations of the Inspectorate and Professional Standard Oversight Bureau (IPROB) continue into the circumstances surrounding Troy Ellis’ escape.
