Prime Minister urges caution on political motorcades, after 15-year-old fell to his death

Prime Minister and leader of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), Andrew Holness, has urged supporters to exercise caution during campaigning for the Local Government Election.

The warning follows the death of a teenager during a PNP political motorcade in St. Catherine on Sunday.

15-year-old Lamar Grey of Gregory Park, St. Catherine reportedly died after he fell from a bus.

Speaking during a JLP meeting in Port Antonio, Portland, last night, Mr. Holness expressed sadness at the teen’s passing.

Mr. Holness noted that he recently visited the JLP woman who lost her leg during an accident in a party motorcade on February 8.

He reiterated the JLP’s support for the woman, while urging party supporters to campaign in an orderly manner.
