National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang says Portmore, in St. Catherine will be receiving increased CCTV cameras and technological assistance to aid in the fight against crime.

This following last Sunday’s brazen gun attack and robbery of 4 employees of Beryllium Limited in the area.

One civilian was also wounded during the incident.

Speaking at the launch of the Neighborhood Watch Programme for communities in Hellshire, St. Catherine yesterday, Dr. Chang said the drive to use technology in supporting the police force is a critical part of crime fighting.

He said the police must be equipped to deal with criminals who have high powered weapons.
