A man died as a result of injuries he sustained, after his vehicle went over a precipice in the Rio Grande Valley, in Portland on Sunday morning.

Relatives identified him as Gilbert Hall a jerk pork vendor of Prospect Land Settlement.

Reports are that early this morning, Hall was driving a Toyota Station Wagon motorcar along the main road, when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go over a precipice and landing in a ravine.

Hall was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His daughter, Terry-Ann, said she had plans to treat him today, Father’s Day.

She said she was shocked when she heard the news, and had to view his body to confirm that he had really died.
