PopCaan vows to do more for St. Thomas after $8 mil ‘Off To School Treat’
After spending some 8 million dollars on his recent Off to School Children’s Treat through his PopCaan Care Foundation, St. Thomas native PopCaan has vowed to give back more to the parish.
Sharing highlights from the charity event, in a video posted to his official Instagram account, Popcaan, in a heartwarming caption, wrote in part, “Dear God, I thank you for blessing me so I could be able to bless others. I thank you for this journey.”
He continued in part, “Nothing me a forward from, the worst! So I know struggles for myself, that’s why I spent 8 mil on a treat for my parish without any sponsorship and next year I will spend more because I‘ll be way richer.”
Popcaan ended the post thanking God for his blessings, and declared that one day St. Thomas will be number one to everyone.
He also used the caption to outline that his annual Unruly Fest will be held on December 22.
The Dancehall deejay’s Off To School Treat was held on Tuesday (AUG 29), ahead of the new academic school year set to begin on Monday, September 4.
Entertainers Gramps Morgan and Tarrus Riley, who have ties in the parish, are among the social media users commending PopCaan for giving back to the children of St. Thomas.
