Police say St. Ann, Westmoreland and St. Catherine continue to record the most road crashes

St. Ann, St. Catherine and Westmoreland continue to record the most road crashes.

Head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, PSTEB, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Gary McKenzie made the revelation  during a virtual meeting of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, TODSS, last evening.

He said 103 people were killed in road crashes, up to the end of March.

The deaths resulted from 90 collisions.

ACP McKenzie said one of the main factors that contributed to the crashes is motorists failing to keep left while traversing the roadways.

ACP McKenzie said the police are concerned about the increase in the number of crashes that involve only one vehicle.
