Police pursuing measures to address violence in Corporate Area schools

Commanding Officer for the St. Andrew Central Police Division, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, says the police are actively pursuing measures to address violence among schools in the Corporate Area.

One of the most recent incidents was a brawl in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew, involving students from Calabar, Mona, and Queens high schools.

The altercation resulted in one student being stabbed.

In an interview with IRIE FM News, SSP Nesbeth noted that a recent meeting was convened with the deans of discipline from these institutions.

He said police intend to extensively engage with the parents, having obtained some valuable information.
