The St. Catherine North police are probing the death of a 12-year-old schoolboy who was found with a gunshot wound to the head at a home in Point Hill, St. Catherine yesterday (December 2).

The deceased has been identified as Omarco Brown.

Preliminary reports from the police are that sometime around 4 PM, residents heard explosions and summoned them.

Upon their arrival, Omarco was reportedly found in a room with a gunshot wound to the head. He was later pronounced dead.

A service pistol was also found in the room.

Police are probing the incident, which has been classified as a “death investigation”.
