The Westmoreland Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a Bulgarian national in the parish on Wednesday night (August 23).

Dead is 47-year-old businessman Velik Kitanov, of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Preliminary reports are that Kitanov who was staying at property in Amity, Westmoreland, was found unresponsive in his room at about 10: 15 PM.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Savanna-la-Mar police are investigating.
