Police name 2 POIs in relation to deadly shooting in Commodore, St. Catherine

The St. Catherine police have listed two persons of interest in relation to this morning’s shooting in Commodore, Linstead, which left a woman dead and a 6 year old boy wounded.

Police have not revealed the dead woman’s identity but said she was in her fifties and that she was the mother of a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

The six year old has been hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

The gunmen pounced upon the woman and child at their home.

Head of the St. Catherine North Police, Acting Senior Superintendent Hopton Nicholson said the incident happened at about 8:30 a-m, while lawmen were conducting an operation, at another location.

The persons being sought are, Glendon Amos otherwise called “Bull” who is a wanted man, and another individual known only be his alias, “Six”. 

Acting SSP Nicholson said these 2 are also listed as persons of interest in relation to other crimes committed in the division.

Acting SSP Nicholson said there has been an upsurge in criminal activities in Commodore, recently.

He noted that no motive has been established for this morning’s killing, and investigations continue.
