Police efforts against organised crime bolstered through advanced counter gang training curriculum

Police efforts to combat organised crime have been bolstered through the provision of an advanced counter gang training curriculum guide.

The guide was presented during a ceremony at the national police college on Wednesday.

Its part of an overall multi agency project, involving experts from Jamaica and the United States.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of the Crime Portfolio, Fitz Bailey, described the guide as having comprehensive, cutting edge strategies, to address organized crime.

Meantime, Head of the Department of Criminal Investigations Training at the National Police College Superintendent Carl Berry said, having completed the pilot phase, it’s expected that the full training course will be delivered in November.
