Police Commissioner says 60 violent gunmen have been arrested since the start of the year
Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson says 60 men, who he described as ‘violent gunmen’ have been arrested since the start of the year.
He made the statement at a police press conference yesterday (October 3), noting that this is a part of the effort to target gangs, guns and gunmen.
Major General Anderson urged the public to continue working with the police to capture wanted men.
Commissioner Anderson made the call while noting that major crimes have decreased by 13 per cent since the start of the year.
According to the Commissioner, gang-related crimes continue to account for the majority of murders committed.
