Police have arrested the woman who was seen in a viral video stomping on a child who is said to be her daughter.

Investigators from the Center for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse, (CISOCA), confirmed that the woman who reportedly abused the teenage girl was located and taken into police custody.

CISOCA says she will be interviewed, and the next steps will be determined.

Meantime, the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, (CPFSA), says it has located the girl who was seen being stomped on by her mother, in a video which has gone viral on social media.

The agency says the 15-year-old girl is in the care of her father.

Chief Executive Officer of the CPFSA Mrs. Laurette Adams-Thomas says the child who was located after investigations, is receiving medical attention at hospital.

She says the police have been made aware of the case and more investigations will be carried out.

She also sought to remind and encourage persons to report any and all forms of child abuse using the 24 hour child abuse reporting hotline, 211.

She added that reports may be made through whatsapp/text at 876-878-2882, at any CPFSA parish office, or through the agency’s social media pages.
