POIs named in Rema double murder
Police have named three persons of interest in relation to the killing of two men and the wounding of 5 other people in Rema, Kingston on Thursday evening.
They are Jermaine Braham otherwise called ‘Price right’, Desroy Walker, otherwise called Shamar and Odane Faulkner otherwise called ‘Juh Juh’, all from Trench Town.
Head of the Kingston Western Police Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps said cops believe the incident is linked to a gang feud, between the‘Father Gang’, and the ‘Buckers GanG’ in Rema, Trench Town.
Police say around 7:30 p.m, 34-year-old Romaine Maragh otherwise called ‘Coolie’ and 26-year-old Desmore McKenzie, otherwise called ‘Nico’ were shot and killed.
It’s reported that Maragh and Mckenzie were among a group of people sitting along the roadway playing dominoes, when a white Toyota motorcar drove up and four men alighted from the vehicle opening gunfire.
They escaped in the awaiting car.
The police were alerted and on their arrival seven people, including a 10-year-old, were taken to hospital.
Maragh and McKenzie died on arrival and the other five were admitted for treatment.
